Increase of institutional ownership is just because of this stock is part of JPX Nikkei 400 Index, I think.
Last ten years construction companies decreased employees because of recession. As a result, there are less supplies against more demands. It makes good demand better.
Tokyu Construction has advantages comparing with other companies I think.
This company belongs Tokyu Group which owns real estate and railways in Shibuya area. Shibuya is most popular area with tourists. In the other hand, cities in Tokyu railways are most popular area for living. Also this company is good at constructing railways in city area.
Shimizu, Kajima, Obayashi and Taisei must be good stocks, but, they seem to be fair-valued already because they are big, famous and part of Nikkei 225 Index. -

Hello. long time no see. I had a talk with Tokyu Railways (9005).
As you probably know Tokyu Construction (1720) fell sharply in December.
It is a linear construction problem of Obayashi Corporation of a major construction company of the same industry.
It is a fact that bid rigging is illegal.
However, half of the linear construction section is a tunnel, construction period can not be completed if the rock is hard and it is not a major technical contractor.
There is no doubt that extraordinary loss will occur to some extent, but the construction work ordered will continue as it is.
In fact, his employer JR Tokai said that the construction period of the linear Shinkansen is unchanged.
I think Tokyu Construction can be expected in the future. Among construction stocks, you can also expect an upsurge in terms of cheaper business results!

Thanks very much for your kind reply. Institutional ownership is beginning to rise slowly (7.12% to 7.7% from November-now).
Government policy is always a big plus. Would you have any recommendation for a good infrastructure construction stock? I read that there will be many aging (>50 years old) roads and bridges in the next few decades in Japan. Tokyo-Nagoya Linear is another big project. I kind of like Shimiz after watching an NHK program about a very tough tunnel project just completed by Shimiz, but I am not sure if there are better ones (quality companies at a reasonable PE)? Someone had mentioned Kajima on this board as well. Maybe PS Mitsubishi would be a good related stock to own due to favorable demand outlook? Thanks and good luck.
