Christmas has come early for this person listening through to a test pressing of the forthcoming Live At The Orpheum.

This is the first new KC vinyl to sport a gatefold sleeve since Starless And Bible Black (excluding double LP compilations lest anyone be feeling pedantic).

Here's a shot of that interior gatefold plus a shot of the CD/DVD-A edition...

King Crimson Live At The Orpheum Preorder

:: Posted by Sid Smith on Thu., Dec 4, 2014
    ttp://www.dgmlive.com/news.htm?entry=4960

The new live album from the latest incarnation of King Crimson is now available for pre-order.

    Thus sayeth the blurb:
King Crimson has performed, recorded & released material in its own inimitable manner for the past 46 years. As the band enters its 47th year of operation in 2015, the occasion is marked with the first release culled from the band’s Autumn 2014 US tour. Comprised of 41 minutes of material by the newest incarnation of the band fronted by the line-up’s formidable three drummer setup, Live At The Orpheum has been mixed from 24bit multi-track performances recorded at the band’s two concerts at the Los Angeles venue. Featuring a mixture of new & old King Crimson material – some being performed live for the first time – the album makes an ideal recorded debut for the septet.

    Track listing:
    CD (16/44.1 stereo), DVD-A (24/96 Hi-Res stereo)
1 Walk On: Monk Morph Chamber Music
    2 One More Red Nightmare
    3 Banshee Legs Bell Hassle
    4 The ConstruKction of Light
    5 The Letters
    6 Sailor’s Tale
    7 Starless

Gavin Harrison - Pat Mastelotto – Bill Rieflin - Mel Collins - Robert Fripp - Jakko Jakszyk - Tony Levin

Recorded Sept. 30th, October 1st at The Orpheum Theatre, Los Angeles
Front Line: Mixed & Engineered by Gavin Harrison
Back Line: Mixed by Jakko Jakszyk & Robert Fripp
    Production Engineer: Jakko Jakszyk

Fripp describes US tour release as “a hummer”

Robert Fripp has confirmed the release of a live mini-album featuring the latest lineup of King Crimson.
And he’s described the 40-minute title, due in January, as “a hummer.”

It was recorded on the band’s recent US tour, featuring drummers Gavin Harrison, Bill Reiflin and Pat Mastelotto alongside bassist Tony Levin, saxophonist Mel Collins and guitarist-vocalist Jakko Jakszyk.

Fripp says in a video clip: “We’re just completing the mix on Starless, live in Los Angeles, and this really is a hummer.”

Jakszyk confirms: “It’s humming like crazy.”

The album will be released on January 13 via DGM Live. Further details will be announced in due course. Crimson have started work on at least three new tracks since returning to action earlier this year. A UK tour is being considered for 2015.

    "The Letters"
